about

In 2012, crossing Hatun Yacu (Pastaza) and Illogulin river, I entered for the first time to the sacred zone of Llaganates national reserve in company of my dear friend Guillermo; the son of the last nomad Kichwa leader, who worked for the Ministry of Environment and knew well its dangers and mysteries.

When the sun went down, the forest fell into complete silence and darkness, until the Moon rose. Then, the first insects started to sing for its shine, praising the feminine spirit of the Goddess. Little by little came the birds, nightbirds, messengers of the ancestors once lived here; and all of a sudden the sound was loud -, a psychedelic trip, under the silver, full moonlight.

The fire burned long, our hearts filled with peace; no need to talk, rather to listen hypnotized the song of the frogs, the oscillation of the cicadas and the call of the birds; calm -, deep and high stimulated sounds, like a decoded language, a holographic telepath that went to its end, when the cold breeze came with the whisper of the trees.

We knew a heavy rain was about to fall on the ground, bless and give new life to the rainforest again. A daily ritual, especially by the rain season, that can last ten minutes long or even days. A time of introspection for all creatures, a frequency of white noise, the heart of the Amazon forest.

The track has been initially longer, but I have edited with the intention to publish the natural ambient sounds individually and in their original length.

Also the idea to include only night, nature ambience was for the purpose to reflect to the audience the magic of the sound in the rainforest at night; a call for re-connection with the feminine energy that is so important to be restored, individually and collectively, on the planet.
